I made this beautiful necklace using 20mm faceted gray agates with gray stripped shell sticks.  The two strands hang from a silver tone (no polishing) chain with a large Bali sterling silver toggle.  This piece has a bonus of earrings.  The shorter strand of beads is 20" then the chain and the longer strand is approximately 25".  It has a nice definitation between the 3 pieces, so they won't tangle.

In the realm of stones, there are some which are very helpful at protecting us from malignant energies and bad dreams. Of all of them, agate is by far the strongest, and should be the most sought after. While agate does have some other helpful attributes, this is the strongest.
It attracts strength, drawing strong people to it or bringing our stronger self out. That way it can protect us, and help us protect ourselves. Agate also shields us from the stressful aspects of the world, and aids us from feeling drained.

Back in Biblical times, agates was thought to protect against storms. While this still applies in a spiritual/mental sense, it unfortunately falls a little flat in the physical sense.
